New View FiberWorks, LLC, was launched in 2008 under the name Fuzzy Farmers Market as part of the Craft Guild of St Marys County. Seven women had a plan to offer their high quality fiber and soap products to the Southern Maryland area. So the Fuzzy Farmers was born. In 2011, the Fuzzy Farmers took the plunge and moved to the town square in historic Leonardtown, in what used to be the Doo Dah Deli. After much painting, scrubbing, and rehabbing, the Fuzzy Farmers Market opened its doors in July 2011.
Over the years, we have grown and welcomed new members and sadly said goodbye to others. We have stayed with the mission that everything is handmade or up-cycled in some way by members in the Tri-County area. We
have expanded to include pottery, woodworking, bath and body items, and jewelry. We are constantly trying new projects and stretching our horizons.
In 2018, the Fuzzy Farmers Market changed its name to New View FiberWorks, LLC, but we are still the same group committed to bringing you quality handmade items. In addition to our products, we also offer classes in our downstairs studio. Students can learn to weave, spin, and felt for a reasonable fee. New View Fiberworks also rents spinning wheels and table looms for home use. Other classes include crochet, tatting, and coming soon knitting. Classes and workshops are always changing, please check out our class page for upcoming events.
