Ewe Want the Scoop

The tree has been lit and the festivities have begun! In other words – the Christmas season has descended upon Leonardtown in Maryland. New View FiberWorks is no different, our elves, I mean members have been hard at work making beautiful items for those special gifts or something to indulge yourself with this holiday season, so stop on in for a spell to get out of the cold, wind, rain, whatever the weather may be doing at the moment. (It is MD, wait 5 minutes and the weather will change.)

We have two Artists of the Month for December! Sue Sloan and Linda Wilson. Both women are amazingly talented in the fiber arts. You will often find Sue sitting at her loom at the front of the store or working on some intricate lace pattern on a shawl. Linda is fabulous at colorwork in her knitting as well as other items, she weaves as well, and often spins on her electric wheel back at our work table. We are fortunate to have both of these women as members.

Our store hours are changing up a bit this month. We are closed on Mondays. We are still open our normal Wednesday through Saturday 10-5; but we are adding in Tuesday and Sundays from 10-2. Christmas Eve we will be open 10-2. Wednesday, December 26, through Saturday, December 28, we will shorten our days by an hour and be open 10-4. We will be taking our holiday break from December 29, 2019 through January 14, 2020. The shop will reopen January 15, 2020 and resume normal business hours of Wednesday through Saturday, 10-5.

Even though this time of year gets busy and hectic we hope you will take a moment to stop in and see us. We would love the chance to get to say hello and wish you the best of this Holiday Season!
